Areas I Work With
I specialise in gut health and digestive conditions, working with people at
every stage, from those who've just started noticing something isn't right,
to those who've already tried everything and are looking for someone to
finally join the dots.
-
If you're dealing with bloating, abdominal pain, or unpredictable bowel habits, you may already suspect IBS, or you might just be trying to work out what's going on. I'll help you understand what IBS is, what does and doesn't fit your symptoms, when it's worth talking to your GP, and what investigations might be appropriate. From there, we work out what's actually driving your symptoms and build a plan around it, rather than guessing your way through another round of food elimination.
Already cut out gluten, dairy, and tried low FODMAP, and still not better? If your diet keeps getting smaller but your symptoms aren't, it might be time to step back rather than cut out another food. I work with people who've already tried elimination diets, supplements, probiotics, and apps on their own, to work out what's actually going on and rebuild a sustainable way of eating that doesn't leave you frightened of food.
Considering low FODMAP? Low FODMAP can be a genuinely useful tool, but it's easy to get wrong, and it's not meant to be a long-term diet. You don't need to work through it alone. I can guide you through the elimination and reintroduction phases properly, so you find out what you actually react to instead of avoiding foods indefinitely out of caution.
-
Living with Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis often means navigating flares, remission, and a lot of conflicting advice about food. I work alongside your medical team to help manage nutrition through flares, support gut healing, address any nutrient gaps, and build an eating pattern that supports your condition without unnecessary restriction.
-
Whether you've just been diagnosed or have been managing coeliac disease for years, a strict gluten-free diet can be overwhelming to navigate well. I help with everything from the practicalities of avoiding cross-contamination to making sure your gluten-free diet is nutritionally complete, not just gluten-free by name.
-
EoE management often involves food elimination and reintroduction under guidance, which can be a lot to manage alone. I support you through elimination diets, help identify trigger foods, and make sure your diet stays as varied and nutritionally adequate as possible throughout the process.
-
If you've been prescribed pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT), getting the dose and timing right around meals makes a real difference to symptoms and nutrient absorption. As a Dietitian Prescriber, I can support both the dietary and prescribing side of managing PEI.
-
If unplanned weight loss, reduced appetite, or a medical condition has affected your nutrition, I can help identify gaps and build a practical plan to support your nutritional needs, including oral nutrition supplements or special foods where appropriate.
-
Before cutting out another food, let's work out what's actually causing your symptoms. I help you investigate suspected intolerances properly, so you're not avoiding foods unnecessarily or missing the real cause.
-
Not every gut health concern needs a diagnosis to be worth addressing. If you're simply looking to feel more comfortable day-to-day, less bloating, more regular digestion, more energy after meals, I can help you figure out what's actually driving that discomfort and build an eating pattern around it that fits your life, rather than following generic gut-health advice that may not apply to you.
-
As a registered Dietitian Prescriber, I'm able to prescribe special foods, pancreatic enzymes, fibre supplements, and laxatives where clinically appropriate, meaning your nutrition care and any related prescribing can happen in the same appointment, rather than needing a separate referral.
